The best way to get around the lake is with scheduled boats or with one of the many taxi boat services that you will find in all the villages.
The public boat service is very convenient and allows you to move quickly from one part of the lake to another. You can purchase tickets for single routes or there are day tickets, which are more convenient, which allow you to get on and off all boats for an entire day (excluding the hydrofoil only).
There are also car ferries with which you can quickly cross the lake between Bellagio, Menaggio, Cadenabbia and Varenna.
